Dear Dr. Seldomright,
With global warming, can I
plant an orange tree in Alaska?
I am moving to Alaska from southern California.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Dr. Seldomright replies:
My advice is ---
don't roller skate on ice.
Still it may be cool and lots of fun,
to do a thing that can't be done.
Sailing around a world thought flat,
Columbus did accomplish that.
A guy named Johnny disagreed,
with jokes about his apple seeds,
which everywhere he went he tossed.
That's why there's lots of applesauce.
But to get back to your query now.
Can you do it? If so how?
Well just remember that silly ant,
who seemed to move a rubber tree plant.
With global warming I would say,
who knows what will happen anyway.
So dear Ronald, give it a shot.
Perhaps Alaska will get hot.
But if your oranges make juice,
please don't feed it to a moose. Siggy
